Exposure/Culture: American Beautyberry, Callicarpa americana, performs well in full sun to partial shade conditions. Prefers a moist, well drained soil, and a layer of mulch to help retain moisture. Cut to the ground every few years to control size or to rejuvenate.
Other Notes: American Beautyberry, Callicarpa americana, has a medium green foliage that will turn yellowish in the fall. It produces purple berries from the pink blossoms. And flowers on the new wood each year.
