Landscape Notes: Common Periwinkle, Vinca minor is suitable for large areas, and is more suitable for smaller areas. Looks good under trees, especially Dogwood and other small trees. Great for naturalizing.
Exposure/Culture: Common Periwinkle, Vinca minor grows best in shade or part shade. Tolerant of many soil types, but prefer moist organic soils of medium fertility. Does not equire as much pruning as Vinca major.
Other Notes: Common Periwinkle, Vinca minor is deer resistant and can eliminate weeds by smothering them out. It is very hardy and fast spreading because anywhere the stems come in contact with the ground they will root.
