Landscape Notes: Dwarf Burford Holly, Ilex cornuta is one of the best Hollies, having many uses. It is an outstanding corner plant for foundation plantings and makes a beautiful unclipped hedge. Looks great in tree form, also. Dwarf Burford Holly, Ilex cornuta was developed as a substitute for Burford Holly, which is much larger. Used extensively in both residential and commercial landscapes.
Exposure/Culture: Dwarf Burford Holly, Ilex cornuta grows well in full sun or partial shade. Very adaptable to any well drained soil. Very drought resistant. Prune, as needed, to maintain natural shape.
Other Notes: Dwarf Burford Holly, Ilex cornuta is loaded with clusters of white flowers in the spring which produce red berries during winter. Combine the red berries with the dark green foliage and you get amazing color in the landscape during the winter months. It is great for foundation plantings and accents. Look no further for the perfect holly!
