Landscape Notes: Herbert Azalea, Azalea x ‘Herbert’, provide an excellent floral display of large lavender orchid double blooms. Great for foundation and mass plantings.
Exposure/Culture: Herbert Azalea, Azalea x ‘Herbert’, prefers landscape areas that are lightly shaded. Soils should be well drained, rich in organic matter, and have an acidic pH. Pruning should be done immediately after flowering has ceased.
Other Notes: Herbert Azalea, Azalea x ‘Herbert’, with it’s dark green foliage serves as an excellent foundation planting but when combined with the early lavender orchid blooms it makes a large showing for any home.
