Landscape Notes: Camellias are among the most beautiful flowering plants. It is one of the favorites in the South for fresh flower arrangements. 'April Remembered' Camellia is more cold tolerant than most varieties. It will bloom later in colder regions however. It produces semi-double flowers with a luscious pink blossom and a creamy center that is set off by the golden stamens.
Exposure/Culture: April Remembered' Camelia prefers a moist, well drained soil that has an acid pH. It thrives in partial to full shade locations.
Other Notes: Pruning of 'April Remembered' Camellia should be done after flowering or during flowering for table arrangements. It makes an excellent hedge, screen, or foundation planting. It pairs well with azaleas and forsythia.
