Garden Notes: ’Catawba’ Grape is a purple-red sweet grape with a hint of spice. Great for making a dessert wine, juice, or jellies. Creates a nice screen when grown on an arbor or trellis.
Exposure/Culture: ’Catawba’ Grape prefers a well drained soil with a pH of 6.0-6.5. It should be located in a full sun area with plenty of room to grow.
Other Notes: ’Catawba’ Grape will produce medium to large clusters of purple-red grapes in late season. Pruning should be done late February or March to maintain vigor and production.
