Garden Notes: ’Brightwell’ Blueberry plants are suited for the south because they are drought and heat tolerant. ‘Tifblue’ or ‘Premier’ Blueberry should be planted with this variety for cross pollination. ‘Brightwell’ Blueberry produces mounds of flavorful fruit that are firm.
Exposure/Culture: ’Brightwell’ Blueberry should be planted in a full sun location where the soil is acidic. Be careful not to fertilize too much, as this will grow vegetation. Flowering will take place from late spring through early summer.
Other Notes: ’Brightwell’ Blueberry should be pruned during the late winter or very early spring months, once it is established. Cannot ship to California.
