Landscape Notes: Compacta Holly, Ilex crenata is one of the thickest growing Hollies. Its dense nature can be obtained with a minimum of care. Compacta Holly, Ilex crenata is an excellent choice for formal hedges.


Exposure/Culture: Compacta Holly, Ilex crenata grows well in full sun or partial shade. It does best in slightly acid, well drained soil. Do not plant this Holly in soggy soils. Compacta Holly, Ilex crenata is easily pruned into compact, dense shape.
