Exposure/Culture: Carolina Allspice or Sweetshrub is a mulifunctionall plant that can grow in either full sun or shade. It prefers moist, loamy, well drained soils and is very pH adaptable.


Other Notes: Carolina Allspice or Sweetshrub produces 2 inch dark reddish brown flowers in early spring that are very fragrant. The stems have a camphor-like smell when crushed. Pruning of Carolina Allspice or Sweetshrub should be done after flowering to control shape.
