Exposure/Culture: ’Frostproof’ Gardenia, Gardenia jasminoides, will thrive in both sun and shade conditions, however in more shady conditions it will produce less flowers. It needs a well drained, rich, organic soil that has acidity. Prune to maintain shape.
Other Notes: ’Frostproof’ Gardenia, Gardenia jasminoides, produces white, up to 3” in diameter, flowers that are very fragrant. It will flower in May and June just in time for those outdoor activities. Prune lightly, and bring the branches inside for fragrant arrangements.
