Landscape Notes: Balloon Flower is a real child pleaser with its inflated blue buds that look like expanding balloons. The buds open into five-pointed stars covering the clump forming plant.
Exposure/Culture: Balloon Flower prefers full sun to partial shade areas in the landscape. It thrives in moist, well drained soils.
Other Notes: Balloon Flower should be deadheaded to prolong blooming time. Delaying of flowering can be accomplished by pinching the stems in early summer. Balloon Flower will self sow itself to expand its area in the landscape. Trimming can be done in late fall or early spring.
