Landscape Notes: ‘Goblin’ Blanket Flower, Gaillardia x grandiflora are loosely upright to sprawling perennials with coarse blue-gray foliage at the base of the plant. They have large daisies with yellow-marked red petals and scented, warm red-brown centers. ‘Goblin’ Blanket Flower, Gaillardia x grandiflora are clump forming, spreading by short, running roots, and have a very fast growth rate.


Exposure/Culture: ‘Goblin’ Blanket Flower, Gaillardia x grandiflora thrives in full sun conditions. Prefers well drained soils but can tolerate a variety of soil textures. Blanket flower blooms continuously into the fall, even without deadheading. There’s no need to cut back in the late fall or early spring; its stems decompose quickly over winter.
