Landscape Notes: ‘Happy Return’ Daylily, Hemerocallis is a reblooming, award winning, and extremely popular daylily. It is related to the ‘Stella de Ora’ daylily however it has lemon yellow trumpet blooms instead of the golden yellow blooms. Each bloom from the ‘Happy Returns’ will last for up to 16 hours making it a great cut flower for your home. These daylilies can be used in the landscape as mass plantings, borders, edging, or also in containers.
Exposure/Culture: ‘Happy Returns’ Daylily, Hemerocallis is tolerant of various soil types as long as there is adequate moisture available. It can be planted in full sun or partial shade landscape areas. Spent flowers need to be removed to promote reblooming. Mow to ground in late fall and watch as it springs back up the following year.
Other Notes: ‘Happy Returns’ Daylily will survive in even the harshest conditions such as polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement, and even near areas salted during winter months.
